The Charism Committee visited the St. Margret community to speak about environmental degradation and negative effects of climate change, and what people can do to halt the hazards. The presentations were done to celebrate the end of the Laudato Si’ Special Anniversary Year, where Pope Francis invites the world’s 1.3 billion Catholics to joyfully participate in Laudato Si’ Week 2021, to be held 16-24 May.
Laudato Si’ is Pope Francis’ Encyclical and Clarion Call on the Environment. It is a rallying call to the Church and to the world to urgently address the environmental crises our world is facing. The occasion was graced by the planting of trees and was celebrated under the motto ‘Protecting our World is Preserving our life’.
