Sister Agnes Motake

SNJM’s Justice and Peace committee gave a talk on human trafficking on Radio Maria-Lesotho on July 31st. Sister Agnes Motake was the main presenter and she explained that the committee wants to raise awareness about the fact that in Lesotho, girls and women are the main targets of human traffickers. In her talk, she explained that due to the high unem-ployment rate in Lesotho, most girls are lured into trafficking under the guise that there is a job waiting for them. She advised girls and young women to con-firm the position before moving, especially if the pro-spective job is in South Africa.
